Join BCE and support the transformational power of the arts and the cohesive implementation of Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual Arts used to bring our stories and the world around us to life. Through our programming, our students foster empathy that permeates our building and radiates beyond our walls, participate in high quality arts experiences, and engage in student collaboration while being empowered to find their voice to change and save the world.
Established in August 2019, Brenda Cowan Elementary exists to expose our students to diverse opportunities through the lens of arts education while providing the unique experience of learning in an environment that allows students to access every part of their brain. We have the responsibility to ensure that all students are actively engaged, achieving at high levels, and are prepared to excel in a global society. Our students at BCE get the opportunity to explore the arts through a variety of arts disciplined courses including: Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Band and Orchestra. Our arts programming offers 7 grade level/ school-wide productions, SPOTlight Nights and a variance of special arts events throughout the school year.
Students experience arts education within dance, drama, music, visual art, orchestra, and band 4th and 5th grade students choose two arts majors that they study throughout the school year 7 school productions per year
